Decision-Making: Part 2

Summary

Making responsible, healthy decisions can be tough, especially with all of the barriers that exist. Just remember: You have the power to avoid these barriers and be in control of your own health, happiness, and future.

However, it’s okay to make a mistake. If you make a poor decision, it’s important to focus on learning from it and working to fix the situation. And you don’t have to do it alone. Let the people in your life help you whenever you are struggling.

Have you ever struggled with a tough decision in the past? Did you make the responsible choice, or did you make a mistake? What did you learn from your decision? What steps did you take to learn from the mistake? What have you done differently since then to avoid negative situations?

If you or anyone you know has experience with these or other difficult situations, it’s important to know that you’re not alone. Talking to a parent, teacher, counselor, family member, or other trusted adult can help you to resolve the situation before things become too difficult to control.
